POSITION SUMMARY
The MTSS Data Coordinator is a detail-oriented, collaborative individual who helps achieve the mission of the school by collecting and analyzing data that drives instruction and school operations. The MTSS Data Coordinator is a key member of BART’s Instructional Leadership Team who organizes and implements school assessments, manages academic and school performance data in order to identify trends, improve practices, and inform critical decision-making.
The MTSS Data Coordinator is a school-year position and reports to the Principal.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Management, Analysis and Reporting
- Develop a dashboard showing progress towards school goals including academic achievement, attendance, and behavioral referrals for use by MTSS, Instructional Leadership, and the Board of Trustees.
- Develop and present a weekly data progress monitoring report that drives MTSS meetings by identifying students, both individual and groups, who may need additional support and intervention
- Use data to analyze, evaluate, and compare the effectiveness of strategies to support students to help school leadership allocate resources towards the most effective interventions and strategies.
- Analyze and share assessment results (MCAS, interim, and summative) to identify trends, anomalies, and potentially useful information with instructional leadership, teaching staff, EL and special education, families and the Board of Trustees.
- Use the school’s existing data and communications platforms (Panorama and ParentSquare) to assist in the development, administration, and collection of surveys, forms, and questionnaires including climate surveys and exit surveys.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment
- In conjunction with the Principal, develop and execute an annual assessment calendar (including MCAS, PSAT, AP, and interim assessments).
- As the official Assessment Coordinator for the school, serve as the primary point-person for external organizations in relation to assessment administration, including DESE, Pearson, the College Board, ANet, etc.
- Create project plans to coordinate logistics of assessment administration and proactively communicate roles and responsibilities to staff.
- Coordinate with School Leadership to communicate testing dates, expectations and recommendations to families.
- Oversee student test administration and coordination of all test logistics including organization of assessment materials, scheduling, and individual student accommodations.
- Provide training to staff on procedures and protocols related to assessment administration.
- Collaborate with instructional staff on the creation, storage, and analysis of school designed interim assessments including data collection and reporting.
- Provide support to teachers on the use of testing software.
Coaching and Development
- Serve as a member of the Instructional Leadership Team; assist in setting and monitoring school, student, and teacher goals.
- Champion key findings of data analysis and support understanding of key findings and school goals for multiple stakeholder groups.Provide assistance and coaching to teachers to support data-driven instruction.
- Participate in regular staff development meetings and provide content-appropriate presentations and professional development sessions as requested by school leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.A./B.S. required, M.A. preferred; candidates with relevant experience in data analytics are encouraged to apply.

- Demonstrated expertise with various computer information and data management systems (i.e. Google Sheets, Excel, Panorama, Open Architects) as well as experience with student information systems (PowerSchool).
- Experience with assessment, MTSS operations, and/or data analysis and reporting within a public K12 school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with standardized test administration.
