Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals, including

membership growth, revenue targets, and facility improvements

• Identify and pursue new revenue streams and business opportunities while maintaining

the core mission and values of the organization

• Monitor industry trends and implement innovative programs and services to maintain

competitive advantage

• Foster relationships with local businesses and community organizations to expand the

Sport’s presence and impact


Financial Management

• Oversee all financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management

within expected timelines

• Drive revenue growth through membership sales, program development, advertising &

sponsorship, and ancillary services

• Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to make informed business

decisions

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain transparent reporting systems


Operations Oversight

• Provide guidance and support to the operations team in achieving budget targets and

operational excellence

• Review and approve operational policies, procedures, and quality standards

• Evaluate and authorize major capital expenditures and improvement projects

• Ensure operational alignment with organizational strategic goals and industry best

practices

• Monitor key operational metrics and provide direction for continuous improvement

initiatives

• Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies


Team Leadership

• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team

• Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development

• Create a positive workplace culture that promotes excellence, accountability, and

continuous improvement

• Ensure optimal staffing levels, scheduling, and payroll & benefits administration


Member Experience & Programming

• Ensure delivery of exceptional member service and maintain high member satisfaction

levels

• Oversee development and implementation of diverse fitness programs, wellness

initiatives, and tennis & paddle programs

• Establish systems for gathering and acting upon member feedback

• Drive member retention through engagement strategies and relationship building


Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field

• Minimum 7-10 years of management experience in health/fitness industry or related field

• Proven track record of P&L management and business growth

• Experience with fitness facility operations and program development


Skills & Competencies

• Strong business acumen and financial management skills

• Excellence in team leadership and staff development

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

• Proficiency in fitness industry software and business management systems

• Knowledge of fitness industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements

Working Conditions

• Full-time position requiring flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends

• Must maintain appropriate professional certifications
