The Berkshire Black Economic Council (BBEC) is seeking an Enrichment Navigator to advance our mission by fostering strong relationships with Berkshire's Black entrepreneurs and businesses. Reporting directly to the BBEC's Executive Director, the Enrichment Navigator will be responsible for generating insightful reports for the organization and collaborating with seasonal interns. This role primarily involves in-person interactions, with a focus on working from our Pittsfield office or on-site at Berkshire Black businesses, complemented by occasional travel beyond Berkshire County.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting Black businesses by navigating bureaucratic systems, resources, and barriers to their entrepreneurial growth. 
• Improving business plans for Berkshire Black businesses. 
• Traveling Berkshire County to meet and collect data on all Berkshire Black businesses, startups, and professionals. 
• Planning economic justice improvement plans with the Executive Director. 
• Informing and advocating for economic and public policy initiatives on local and state issues. 
• Participating in grant making discussions with the Berkshire Black Economic Council’s Executive Director. 
• Organizing educational training and workshops for Black businesses and entrepreneurs. 
• Creating regional reports on Black businesses in Berkshire County.

SALARY/BENEFITS

This is a full time position for 12 months, with the opportunity to renew under The Board’s annual assessment review. $61,000 plus two weeks paid vacation. On a need basis, the BBEC may provide technological assistance for our enrichment navigator, comprehensive orientation, and cultural competency training.
