Employer Engagement Consultant 

The Consultant’s responsibilities will be to: 

1. Lead, coordinate and support MassHire Berkshire Career Center and BWB staff with implementation of all prioritized employer engagement strategies on behalf of the local advisory team. This will include and is not limited to the following:


2. Work closely with the Career Center Business Services Representatives (BSR’s) on employer engagement for paid/sponsored summer work-based-learning experiences for youth and young adults including attending company/business meetings, networking events, job fairs, etc. 


3. Work closely with BSR’s and Career Center youth staff in coordinating two Youth Employment Job Fairs in Spring 2026


4. Develop an Employer Engagement marketing campaign and assist in the oversight of a youth intern serving to coordinate and implement the campaign


5. Serve as the lead and support the Career Center and BWB youth staff in coordinating and implementing employer onboarding and training throughout the spring 2026 in preparation for summer programming


6. Attend all local and state advisory team meetings


7. Support the Career Center with placing and monitoring youth participants and supporting host employers’ needs throughout the summer 2026 Youth Works program implementation 

Conduct follow-up with all host employers in September to assess strengths and opportunities for improvement pertaining to employer outreach and overall program participation 


8. Meet weekly with BWB youth staff to report on progress of the project and address any additional support that is needed 


Requirements:


1. Masters Degree preferred and/or experience in youth program development involving business and community connections


2. Possess strong communication and organizational skills


3. Be able to work independently


4. Have experience with interacting with business, education, and workforce partners 


5. Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and Publisher) 


6. Proficient in digital media marketing tools and social media platforms
