Scholar Tiffany Barber explores W.E.B. Du Bois’s influence on modern and contemporary art and his innovative approaches to art history and exhibition-making. The lecture will examine how Du Bois used visual culture to imagine Pan-African progress and justice, highlighting the lasting impact of his work on the ways Black history, identity, and progress are represented through art. A reception will begin at 5 pm.
